Pune: Renowned Marathi Actor Ravindra Mahajani Found Dead in his Residence

Maval, 15th July 2023: The Marathi film industry mourns the loss of veteran actor Ravindra Mahajani, who was discovered deceased in his residence at Ambi village in Maval. The 77-year-old actor, known for his iconic roles in numerous acclaimed movies, had been residing alone in the house for the past 7 to 8 months, according to the police.

The unfortunate incident is believed to have occurred approximately two to three days ago, as the actor’s lifeless body was found inside his locked home after neighbors detected an unusual odor. The police have informed Mahajani’s son, who resides in Mumbai, about the incident, and the body will be sent for postmortem examination following his arrival.

While the police suspect that the cause of death may be natural, further details will be revealed after the completion of the postmortem examination.

Ravindra Mahajani, with his remarkable talent, played prominent lead roles in numerous Marathi movies. His rendition of the famous song ‘Khel Kunala Daivacha Kalala’ resonated with audiences and became a popular hit. He showcased his acting prowess in films such as “Devta,” “Mumbaicha Faujdar,” “Jhunj,” “Laxmi,” and “Haldi Kunku,” leaving an indelible mark on the Marathi cinema landscape.

The sudden demise of Ravindra Mahajani has left the film industry and his fans in a state of shock and grief. His contributions to Marathi cinema will always be remembered, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of actors.
