Leadership Transition: Vice Admiral Dinesh Prabhakar AVSM, NM, VSM (Retd) Appointed Distinguished Chair of Marine Engineering at INS Shivaji

Pune, 14th July 2023: On 13th July 2023, Vice Admiral Dinesh Prabhakar AVSM, NM, VSM (Retd) took charge as the Distinguished Chair (Marine Engineering) at INS Shivaji in Lonavala. Vice Admiral Prabhakar, an alumnus of Sainik School Rewa, National Defence Academy, and Naval College of Engineering, is a respected figure in the field of nuclear submarine construction and currently holds the post of ATVP Chair.

He succeeded Vice Admiral SKK Krishnan AVSM, VSM (Retd) as the third Distinguished Chair (Marine Engineering). During the succession ceremony, Vice Admiral Prabhakar reviewed the ongoing initiatives and progress made by the Centre of Excellence (Marine Engineering) at INS Shivaji. He also addressed the officers, emphasizing the importance of staying updated with technology and working diligently towards the development of the nation.
