Pune – In a significant turn of events, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar made a visit to Saswad on Thursday evening to acknowledge Vijay Shivtare’s decision to refrain from contesting the Baramati Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate. The move marks a pivotal moment in the political landscape of Baramati, with emphasis now shifting towards collaborative efforts for regional development.

During their visit, the state ministers pledged to expedite the Purandar airport project and address the pressing issue of water scarcity in the area, signaling a renewed focus on infrastructure and welfare initiatives.

Indirectly addressing recent developments, Ajit Pawar criticized a senior leader in Baramati for pressuring Shivtare to enter the electoral fray as an independent candidate. He highlighted the leader’s sudden interest in Shivtare’s candidacy, contrasting it with past indifference.
