The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is on the brink of releasing the much-anticipated results of an online examination held in May for 388 ‘B’ and ‘C’ Group posts across various departments. As the outcomes begin to trickle in, candidates are eager to know their fate for the positions within the corporation. The recruitment process, conducted in partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), attracted a substantial number of applicants vying for a diverse range of roles.

Release of Initial Results

Out of the 388 available posts, the outcomes for 15 positions have been unveiled. Candidates who applied for these roles can finally breathe a sigh of relief as they receive clarity on their performance. However, the suspense continues for the remaining 35 positions, covering 11 posts, as the corporation expects to announce their results within the next eight days. The PCMC is steadfast in its commitment to disclose the verdict for all vacancies before August 15.

Massive Response and Online Examination

The PCMC’s recruitment drive garnered significant interest, with a staggering 55,082 students competing for the 388 available seats spread across various departments. The online exam was conducted over a three-day period in May, utilizing multiple centers within the state to ensure a smooth and fair process.

Positions and Review Process

The partnership with TCS encompassed a wide array of positions, including Additional Legal Adviser, Legal Officer, Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Divisional Fire Officer, Park Superintendent (Trees), Park Inspector, Supervisor, Court Clerk, Social Worker, Health Inspector, Civil Engineering Assistant, and Junior Engineer Clerk. After the examination, candidates were given the opportunity to submit objections, enabling a comprehensive review process to address any concerns.

Anticipated Release Dates

As the objections review process for 35 seats across 11 posts concludes, the verdict for 4,233 students is expected to be unveiled within the upcoming week. Notably, objections for four positions—Civil Engineering Assistant, Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Electrical), and Clerk—have already been addressed, and their results are in the pipeline. TCS has undertaken a thorough examination of raised objections, laying the groundwork for a transparent and accurate result generation. The PCMC aims to announce the outcomes for these four posts by August 15, providing candidates with a definitive resolution.

The PCMC’s meticulous approach to conducting online examinations and addressing objections reflects its commitment to transparency and fairness in the recruitment process. As candidates await their results, the corporation’s assurance of revealing outcomes for all vacancies by August 15 underscores its dedication to timely communication and efficient decision-making.
