Roadway Safety Upgrade: Mumbai-Pune Expressway Closure for Gantries Installation

Pune-Mumbai Expressway

In a significant move towards enhancing safety on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced the installation of Highway Traffic Management System (HTMS) Gantries on the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway. This vital safety enhancement will be implemented on the Pune-bound section, specifically at Km 40/100 to Km 40/900 near Adoshi.

To facilitate the installation of these crucial safety features, the MSRDC has scheduled a temporary closure of traffic towards Pune on this expressway section. Commencing from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on October 16, 2023, this temporary closure is essential for ensuring the successful installation of HTMS Gantries.

Commuters planning to use this route during the specified timeframe are strongly advised to make alternative travel arrangements and consider using alternate routes. Safety is paramount, and this brief interruption in traffic is a necessary step towards improving the overall safety and efficiency of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

Once the HTMS Gantries installation is successfully completed, normal traffic flow towards Pune will promptly resume. The MSRDC remains dedicated to its mission of enhancing safety and efficiency on this vital expressway, and the installation of these Gantries represents a pivotal milestone in achieving this objective.
