Swift Action Taken After Woman Reports Verbal Harassment and Physical Contact Incident
In a disturbing incident that unfolded in Koregaon Park, a young woman faced verbal harassment and unwelcome physical advances while walking along the road on Monday night. The unsettling episode occurred between lane numbers two and five in Koregaon Park, according to sources familiar with the situation. Acting swiftly, the Koregaon Park Police Station has registered a First Information Report (FIR) under sections 354, 354 (a), and 509 of the Indian Penal Code. The victim, a 23-year-old resident of Koregaon Park, courageously reported the incident, which took place while she was accompanied by a friend. The accused, identified as Krishna Kumar Bangalya, allegedly made inappropriate remarks and engaged in unwanted physical contact.
