Pimpri, Pune: A horrifying incident has rocked the community in Pimpri, sparking outrage and demands for justice after a video emerged showing a shopkeeper mercilessly beating a defenseless puppy with an iron rod. The distressing event unfolded in front of Gupta Traders (Pimpri) shop at 5:30 pm on Thursday, the 18th, leaving residents shocked and appalled.
The accused, identified as Gupta, has come under intense scrutiny following the incident. Hitesh Jaipal Kundnani, a 34-year-old resident of Pimpri, lodged a formal complaint against Gupta at the Pimpri police station, prompting swift action from the authorities.
According to the police report, Gupta’s alleged violence against the innocent puppy stemmed from its frequent presence near his shop. Eyewitnesses claim Gupta used an iron rod to brutally beat the defenseless animal, forcing it out of the shop and onto the roadside. The puppy suffered severe injuries as a result of the assault and has since been admitted to an animal hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The Pimpri police have wasted no time in launching an investigation into the matter, with the primary objective of bringing the perpetrator to justice and ensuring the safety and well-being of animals in the area.
