PCMC Launches ‘Know Your Polling Station’ Initiative to Empower Voters

In a concerted effort to enhance voter convenience and bolster participation, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has unveiled the ‘Know Your Polling Station’ facility, accessible across all zonal offices.

From May 1 to May 13, voters can avail themselves of this service, initiated with the dual objective of increasing voter turnout and addressing voter-related issues.

Notably, the service will remain operational even on holidays, underscoring the municipality’s commitment to empowering voters with crucial information ahead of the impending polls. Municipal authorities have urged residents to leverage this initiative to ensure a seamless and efficient voting process.

Under the stewardship of designated regional officers, each zonal office has been designated as a hub for facilitating the ‘Know Your Polling Station’ service.

Regional officers, acting as controlling officers for their respective wards, include Sucheta Pansare at Zonal Office (A), Nigdi; Amar Pandit at Zonal Office (B), Chinchwad; Anna Bodde at Zonal Office (C), Bhosari; Ankush Jadhav at Zonal Office (D), Rahatni; Rajesh Agle at Zonal Office (E), Bhosari; Sitaram Bahure at Zonal Office (F), Nigdi; Ajinkya Yele at Zonal Office (H), Thergaon; and Umesh Dhakne at Zonal Office (I), Kasarwadi. These officials will be on hand to assist voters in accessing vital polling station details.

The PCMC’s initiative, aimed at addressing citizens’ concerns and queries, seeks to foster greater civic engagement and participation in the democratic process.

Shekhar Singh, the Municipal Commissioner, has underscored the significance of voter participation and urged residents to capitalize on this opportunity to exercise their democratic rights effectively. With the Lok Sabha general election on the horizon, the PCMC remains steadfast in its commitment to facilitating a seamless voting experience for all constituents.
