MHT CET Extends Registration Deadline for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test 2024

The State Common Entrance Examination Board of Maharashtra has announced the extension of the registration deadline for the Common Entrance Test (CET) for Bachelor of Management (BBA, BMS) and Computer Application (BCA) degree courses until April 30th.

Background:

  • The decision to extend the registration deadline comes in response to the expressed need for more awareness about the exam, which is being conducted for the first time in the state.
  • Recently, the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) streamlined the admission process for BCA, BBA, and BMS degree courses, similar to the approach taken for MBA and MCA programs.

Mandatory Entrance Exam:

  • The CET will now serve as the mandatory entrance exam for admission to these courses, with the State CET Cell overseeing the entire process.
  • Currently, 48,182 students have registered for BBA, BMS, and BCA course admissions through CET. With the extension of the registration deadline, students now have the opportunity to apply until April 30th.

Extension Details:

  • In addition to the extension for BBA, BMS, and BCA courses, the deadline for the entrance examination of MBA and MCA integrated courses has also been extended to April 30th.
  • The CET for BBA, BMS, BCA courses, as well as MBA and MCA integrated courses, is scheduled to take place from May 27th to 29th.

B.Sc Nursing Course Registration:

  • The CET Cell has reported that 54,413 students have already registered for the entrance exam of the B.Sc Nursing course.
  • To accommodate more applicants, the registration deadline for this course has also been extended until April 25th.

Ensuring Smooth Admission Process:

  • These deadline extensions aim to provide all eligible students with ample time to register and prepare for the upcoming CET exams.
  • By allowing more time for registration and preparation, the extensions facilitate a smoother admission process for the various degree courses offered.

As the CET exams draw near, students are encouraged to take advantage of the extended registration deadlines and adequately prepare for the examinations. The State CET Cell remains committed to ensuring a fair and transparent admission process for all aspiring candidates.
