CISCE Reports Rise in Pass Percentage for Class 10, 12 Board Exams; Merit Lists Omitted

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) unveiled the outcomes of the Class 10 and 12 board examinations on Monday, signaling a notable shift by discontinuing the tradition of publishing merit lists starting this academic session. This strategic move aims to foster a healthier academic environment by mitigating undue competition among students.

Gender Disparity and Pass Rates

Once more, female students have demonstrated superior performance compared to their male counterparts in both the Class 10 and 12 board examinations. The pass percentage for Class 10 has ascended to 99.47%, while Class 12 follows closely with a pass rate of 98.19%.

Examination Schedule and Adjustments

The ICSE and ISC examinations commenced on February 21, originally slated to conclude on April 3. However, unforeseen circumstances necessitated an extension until April 4. Notably, the Class 12 Chemistry paper, initially scheduled for February 26, was deferred to March 21. Additionally, the Class 12 Psychology examination was rescheduled from May 27 to April 4.

Guidance for Checking Results

To access the ICSE and ISC final exam marks, students can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the council’s official website – cisce.org or results.cisce.org.
  2. Choose the appropriate class – ICSE or ISC result.
  3. Input your roll code, roll number, and login credentials.
  4. Verify and download your result.

Post-Result Procedures

In the wake of result announcements, the CISCE will facilitate students’ applications for re-checking and re-evaluation of their marks, offering a recourse for those seeking a review of their academic performance.
