Pune, known for its vibrant education system, has extended the deadline for Class XI online admissions to accommodate the increasing number of students seeking admission. As of now, a commendable count of 26,549 students have successfully secured admission under the Centralized Admission (CAP) and reserved seats, according to officials.
The online admission process for Class XI is currently underway in junior colleges across Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. This year, a total of 88,413 seats are available for central admission in 324 colleges, with an additional 24,977 seats designated for quota admission. The first round merit list was unveiled on June 21, resulting in the admission of 42,239 students. Notably, 23,351 of them were fortunate enough to secure their first-choice colleges.
Originally, students were given a deadline of June 24 to visit their allocated colleges and confirm their admissions. However, in response to the appeals from students, parents, and certain junior colleges to ensure a seamless completion of the first round admission process, the deadline has been extended until 6 pm on Monday, June 26. This decision was communicated through the official Class XI admission website.
