Pune man lost Rs 6.5 lakh in crypto currency investment scheme fraud

Pune: Luring a man about huge profit through investment in crypto currency four persons conspired and cheated him of Rs 6.5 lakh, informed Kiwale police. The incident took place between July 20 and July 26 at Kiwale.

Yashpal Dilip Bansode (37) a resident of Kiwale and native of Andur in Osmanabad has filed a complaint in Dehuroad police station in this case.

Dehuroad police station police officer said, ” Based on the complaint from Bansode we have registered a case against two women named Mahesh Aggarwal and Aditya Bansal. The accused woman sent a link for a part-time job on Telegram to the complainant. The other accused then lured him with a promise of 30 percent more profit if he invested in crypto-currencies. The complainant accordingly sent RS 6.5 lakh to different bank accounts UPI ID. As the complainant did not receive any profit or the invested money back he realised that he had been cheated and lodged a complaint with us. We are further investigating the case.”
