Pune: One-way traffic on canal road which is parallel to Sinhagad Road

PUNE: The traffic on the canal road has increased due to the work of the flyover being built on Sinhagad Road. The traffic police have decided to make the road a one-way on an experimental basis. The old road going beyond the canal and the new canal road will be made one-way.

Vehicles coming from Swargate and going towards Vadgaon and Dhayari will turn left at Ganeshmala on Sinhagad Road and travel via Janata Vasahat canal road and go towards the chowk ahead of HDFC Bank at Hingne area. They will turn left and travel near Anand Vihar Colony towards Jadhav Chowk on a one-way road.

For vehicles going to Swargate, the new canal road from Sinhagad Road ward office will be made one-way. Vehicles can travel till Vishranti Nagar. The movement of heavy vehicles has been banned on the London Bridge which connects both these roads and both the canal roads. If citizens have any complaints, they should inform in writing till August 20, DCP (Traffic) Vijaykumar Patil has appealed.
