Record-Breaking Deportations: Pune Police’s DCP Vikrant Deshmukh Sends 65 Criminals Out in 7 Months

Pune: In a big good news for the Punekars the Pune police commissionerate Zone-5 in just 7 months time has deported around 65 gangsters from the Pune jurisdiction. It seems that in the background of increasing crime in Pune the Pune police commissioner Ritesh Kumar and joint commissioner of police Sandeep Karnik and additional commissioner of police Ranjan Kumar Sharma has raised the bar of action under different laws to create deterrence against criminals. The Commissioner had ordered concrete action against criminals on record and in police stations to curb and prevent criminal behaviour.

The deputy commissioner of police Vikrant Deshmukh ordered the deportation of 65 gangsters from Pune city and district to hide criminals from Hadapsar and Wanwadi areas.

Deshmukh said, ” We first collected the information of all the criminals in the limits of various police stations of Hadapsar and Wanwadi area. Action was initiated against the criminals under the Maharashtra Police (Deportation) Act. The gangsters have been deported from Pune city as well as Pimpri-Chinchwad city.

“A total of 21 criminals including gang leaders of 7 gangs and their gang members have been deported from the office of deputy commissioner of police Zone-5 as per Maharashtra Police Act (Deportation) Section 55. Deportation (Tadipar) action has been taken against 44 criminals as per Section 56, 57 of the Maharashtra Police (Deportation) Act. 65 criminals have been deported from Pune City, Pimpri Chinchwad and Pune District. Also this type of action will continue” informed Deshmukh.

The action was taken under the guidance of Deshmukh with the support of ACP Shahuraje Salve, ACP Ashwini Rakh, police sub-inspector Ramkrishna Kale and police constable Rajendra Kumar Nanvare and Ashlesha Mane.
