Pune: In a grand launch event at the Mumbai showroom, Jaguar Land Rover, the luxury car maker owned by Tata Motors, unveiled the latest version of the Land Rover Discovery Sport in India, priced at Rs. 67.90 lakh. The updated model, available in both petrol and diesel powertrain options, promises a blend of versatility, luxury, and cutting-edge technology.
For the 2024 model year, Land Rover has incorporated subtle yet impactful changes to the exterior of the Discovery Sport SUV. Notable updates include a glossy piano black front grille, redesigned LED headlamps, fresh taillamps, and stylish 19-inch alloy wheels.
Rajan Amba, Managing Director at JLR India, expressed, “The new Discovery Sport is versatile by design and perfect for active families that like to hit the road cocooned in luxury. It is a characterful, modern, compact SUV with a versatile interior, breadth of capability as well as intuitive technology, that makes every journey for the family one of utmost comfort and safety.”
Inside the cabin, the 2024 Discovery Sport boasts Land Rover’s latest 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen infotainment system with mobile connectivity. The SUV is equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic glass roof, and advanced safety features such as a 360-degree camera with ClearSight Ground View and ClearSight Rear View Mirror, providing an unobstructed view behind the vehicle.
Under the hood, the Land Rover Discovery Sport offers two engine options: a 2.0-litre petrol engine delivering 245 BHP and 365 Nm, and a 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 201 BHP and 430 Nm. Both engines come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, ensuring a powerful and responsive driving experience.
