Pune: A disheartening incident has been revealed in the Talegaon Dabhade area, where a 28-year-old groom committed suicide on the day of his marriage. The deceased young man has been identified as Suraj Rajendra Raikar (28), a resident of Malinagar, Talegaon.
Today, on April 16, Suraj has a marriage. All the preparations regarding his marriage had been done. However, suddenly in the morning, Suraj called his maternal uncle and told him that he did not want to get married. After saying this, Suraj briskly left the home.
When families started searching for him, they did not find Suraj in the home. Accordingly, police were informed about the incident, and they immediately started investigating in this regard following the complaint. After some time, police received information that Suraj’s bike was parked near a well on Vani’s farm.
As the police got suspicious, they rushed to the location and searched the well with the help of some volunteers. At that time, Suraj’s body was recovered from the well. An attempt has been made by the police to wake up Suraj; however, Suraj died before it.
As soon as people who came to his marriage got information regarding it, they were shocked. Though the exact reason behind Suraj’s suicide has not been clear yet, police believe it has some connection with his marriage. Hence, Talegaon Police has prompted a further investigation into the case.
