The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Pune has forecasted a significant drop of approximately 3–4 degrees in minimum temperatures over the next three days, indicating the resurgence of chilly weather in Pune. Areas like NDA and Shivajinagar might experience temperatures dropping to single digits in the upcoming days.
According to a senior official at IMD Pune, two weather disturbances are expected to impact northwest India in the next five to six days, leading to strong, chilly northwesterly surface winds over the region.
Starting from Wednesday morning until February 3, minimum temperatures (T Min) in north-central Maharashtra, including Pune, are expected to witness a decline. Simultaneously, maximum temperatures (T Max) are also anticipated to drop during this period.
The senior official highlighted the possibility of northerly winds reaching specific areas, particularly Pune city and district, along with north-central Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra. From January 31 to February 3, Pune can expect mostly dry weather with predominantly clear skies, though occasional cloud cover may occur during the day due to the passage of a western disturbance.
In the next few days, a 3° drop in minimum temperatures is anticipated, accompanied by partly cloudy conditions. Additionally, a 2° drop in maximum temperature on certain days is expected to bring cooler weather to Pune.
