Ajit Pawar Takes a Swipe at Supriya Sule, Emphasizes COVID-19 Vigilance

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar took a veiled jab at Baramati MP Supriya Sule during a media interaction, stating, “People know who gets elected because of whom, and the person who gets elected also knows it.” The comment adds a layer of intrigue to the political dynamics in the region.

While addressing the surging cases of COVID-19 patients, Pawar assured that the state government is actively working to curb the spread of the virus. He urged citizens to behave responsibly, follow guidelines, and cooperate with authorities. Pawar emphasized that a decision on mask usage would be announced soon, underscoring the importance of collective efforts to combat the pandemic.

Regarding water distribution to citizens and farmers, Pawar disclosed plans for a canal committee meeting post the rabi season. The committee will assess water evaporation, allocate resources for agriculture, and address the water requirements of Pune residents.

When questioned about MLA Jitendra Awhad’s controversial statement on Lord Ram, Pawar chose not to comment, asserting his focus on the welfare of the people and sidelining such allegations.

The political landscape in Pune appears to be evolving, with subtle yet significant statements echoing the nuanced relationships between key figures.
