Pune: In a bid to mark India’s 75 years of Independence with a green touch, a tree plantation drive was inaugurated at the Sahityaratna Annabhau Sathe Bus Terminal. The drive commenced today on 1st August and is set to continue until 15th August 2023 as part of the nationwide celebration of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav.”
The event saw the esteemed presence of key officials, including the Municipal Commissioner of PCMC, Shekhar Singh, Deputy Commissioner Ravikiran Ghodke, Ward officer Suchita Pansare, Sitaram Bahure, Special Officer Kiran Gaikwad, Public Relations Officer Prafulla Puranik, along with various social workers and enthusiastic citizens.
The tree plantation drive holds significance not only in fostering a greener environment but also in commemorating the milestone of India’s 75 years of freedom. It symbolizes the collective responsibility to preserve nature and cherish the country’s cherished independence.
