PUNE: The Anti-Encroachment Department of the PMC is taking strong action against illegal structures in PMC limits. Action is being taken against shops, houses and restaurants. The civic body took action against two restaurants at Shivaji Nagar and cleared 5,200 sq foot area.
The PMC took action against Hotel Fountain and Bamboo House in the Shivaji Nagar area. During the operation, gas cutters were used and daily wagers were deployed.
Executive Engineer Bipin Shinde, Deputy Engineer Sunil Kadam, Branch Engineer Rahul Rasale, Sameer Gadai and Pune police took part in the operation. The action is being taken under adequate police protection.
