Pune Crime Branch raided hotel Manora in Lonikand & rescued six women from prostitution

Pune: The Social Security Cell Of Pune Police Crime Branch raided Hotel Manora in Lonikand and rescued six young women who were lured into prostitution business. They also arrested two managers of the hotel.

The arrested managers have been identified as Prajyot Hirianna Hegde (27) and Girish Sham Shetty (29) both resident of Perne Phata. The incident took place at Hotel Manora in Lonikand. The 6 girls ageing 20 from Bangladesh were engaged in prostitution business in Hinjewadi and Kolkata.

In this matter, Reshma Kank of Social Security Cell has filed a complaint in Lonikand Police Station.

According to the police, “The members of Social Security department got the information that prostitution business was being conducted at Hotel Manora. Accordingly, the Social Security department ensured by sending decoy customers at the hotel. A raid was then conducted there. It was found that six young women were engaged in prostitution in the hotel. The manager used to take 1500 rupees from the customer. It has been found that Rs 1000 is shared between the two and Rs 500 is given to the young women. Police arrested two managers from the hotel.”

Pune Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar, Joint Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ramnath Pokale, DCP Amol Zende guided police team. Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav, API Ashwini Patil, Aniket Pote, Rajesh Malegave, Police Constable Ajay Rane, Rajendra Kumawat, Baba Karpe, Police Naik Kamble, Police Constable Sagar Kekan, Tushar Bhivarkar, Amey Rasal, Amit Jamdade, Sandeep Kolge, Kishar Bhujbal, Omkar Kumhar, Irfan Pathan and female police Reshma Kank done this raid.
