Pune: in a shocking incident at Yerawada the three goons forcibly snatched the 2.5 tolas gold chain from a woman hotelier when she refused to pay the extortion amount of Rs 5000 per month. They also vandalised the stuff in the hotel. Yerawada police have registered a case in this matter.
The Yerawada police have arrested Akhil alias British Anil Palande (25) a resident of Manik Colony in Dhanori village in Vishrantwadi. Also registered a case against Omkar Tingre (26) and his accomplices.
A 51-year-old woman has filed a complaint in Yerwada Police Station. This incident took place at JMD Fast Food Hotel in Vimannagar on Wednesday at 8:30 AM.
According to the police, “The complainant runs a fast food joint named as JMD. Akhil Palande is a history-sheeter and he asked the complainant for an extortion of Rs 5000 every month, but it was denied by the complainant . Akhil later came to the hotel along with his accomplices and told the complainant that you were asked to pay Rs 5000 every month then why haven’t you paid it. Akhil threatened the complainant that You know how big a gangster I am here, if I don’t pay 5000 rupees now I will break up your hotel and still want to run it, then remember to pay me monthly Rs 5000. The accused also snatched the gold chain weighing 2.5 tolas from the woman hotelier and also vandalised all the belongings kept at the hotel and threatened to kill.”
Police officials further added, ” We have arrested the history-sheeter Akhil Palande and police sub-inspector Gaikwad is further investigating the case.”
