PMPML Facilitates Devotees with Extra Buses for ‘Tukaram Beej’ Sohala in Dehugaon

In anticipation of the upcoming ‘Tukaram Beej’ Sohala, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) has announced plans to deploy additional buses to Dehugaon, catering to the influx of devotees flocking to the revered site.

According to PMPML officials, ‘Tukaram Beej’ on March 27, 2024, witnesses a significant gathering of pilgrims at Dehugaon, seeking blessings at the shrine of Jagadguru Shri Tukaram Maharaj. To facilitate the seamless travel of devotees from Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, and surrounding areas to Dehugaon and Alandi, extra bus services will be operated by PMPML at regular fares, as done annually.

The following routes have been earmarked for the additional bus services:

  1. Swargate to Dehugaon: Swargate & Dehugaon Stands
  2. MNP Bhavan to Dehugaon: MNP Bhavan & Dehugaon Stands
  3. MNP Bhavan to Alandi: MNP Bhavan & Alandi Stands
  4. Dehugaon to Alandi: Dehugaon & Alandi Stands
  5. Swargate to Alandi: Swargate & Alandi Stands
  6. Pune Station to Dehugaon: Pune Station Depot & Dehugaon Stands
  7. Nigdi to Dehugaon: Nigdi & Dehugaon Stands
  8. Hadapsar to Alandi: Hadapsar & Alandi Stands

Furthermore, to ensure a hassle-free return journey from Dehugaon, a temporary bus stand has been established near the military area, with additional buses stationed for commuters’ convenience. Additionally, extra buses for Alandi Darshan will be available at Gairana open space near Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj Stadium in the Gatha area on the Dehugaon-Alandi road.

The supplementary bus services will be operational from March 26 to March 28, 2024. PMPML authorities are urging all devotees and citizens to utilize these services for a smoother travel experience during the auspicious occasion.
