Late Pappu Haldankar Memorial Table Tennis Championship: Over 200 Players Ready to Compete

The upcoming Late Pappu Haldankar Memorial Pune District Table Tennis Championship 2023 is all set to be a grand spectacle with over 200 confirmed entries. Organized under the auspices of the Pune District Table Tennis Association, the championship is scheduled to take place at the Deccan Gymkhana’s Table Tennis Hall from November 10th to 11th, 2023.

This prestigious event is conducted in memory of the late Pappu Haldankar, a former International Table Tennis Player. It has attracted top-ranked table tennis players, including Neil Mulye, Bhargav Chakradeo, Arush Galpalli, Jay Pendse, Pranav Gholkar, Shouren Soman, Shounak Shinde, Onkar Jog, Santosh Wakradkar, Upendra Mulye, Pritha Vartikar, and Prajakta Tipale, who will showcase their skills in thrilling matches.

The championship will offer a total prize pool of Rs. 1,50,000, making it a lucrative opportunity for participants. The tournament kicks off on Friday, November 10th, and will conclude on Saturday, November 11th, 2023. Cash awards will be presented to the winners, runners-up, semi-finalists, and quarter-finalists in all categories. Players will compete in various events, including U/17, Men’s and Women’s singles, and 39 Plus Veteran Singles and Doubles events.

To ensure the smooth and efficient organization of the championship, a dedicated Tournament Committee has been formed. The committee comprises Chairman Deepak Haldankar, Avinash Joshi, Deepesh Abhyankar, and Parag Mokashi.
