The Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) Pimpri Chinchwad Chapter is gearing up to host an inclusive “Ahimsa” marathon on Sunday, March 31, in a bid to promote peace and non-violence across all religions. President Manish Oswal announced the event, scheduled to commence at 5:30 am from the grounds of Jain Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Chinchwad Pavananagar.
Participants will embark on a scenic route passing through Bijlinagar, Bhel Chowk, Lal Bahadur Shastri Chowk, Krishna Hotel in Nigdi, and back to the Jain School Ground in Chinchwad, fostering a sense of unity and harmony among diverse communities.
The marathon offers three categories catering to different fitness levels: 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km, ensuring inclusivity and participation from individuals of all ages and abilities.
This noteworthy initiative, orchestrated by 68 chapters of JITO nationally and 27 internationally, has secured a place in the prestigious Guinness Book of Records for its steadfast promotion of non-violence and peace.
