JITO Organizes All-Religion ‘Ahimsa’ Marathon to Promote Peace and Harmony

The Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) Pimpri Chinchwad Chapter is gearing up to host an inclusive “Ahimsa” marathon on Sunday, March 31, in a bid to promote peace and non-violence across all religions. President Manish Oswal announced the event, scheduled to commence at 5:30 am from the grounds of Jain Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Chinchwad Pavananagar.

Participants will embark on a scenic route passing through Bijlinagar, Bhel Chowk, Lal Bahadur Shastri Chowk, Krishna Hotel in Nigdi, and back to the Jain School Ground in Chinchwad, fostering a sense of unity and harmony among diverse communities.

The marathon offers three categories catering to different fitness levels: 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km, ensuring inclusivity and participation from individuals of all ages and abilities.

This noteworthy initiative, orchestrated by 68 chapters of JITO nationally and 27 internationally, has secured a place in the prestigious Guinness Book of Records for its steadfast promotion of non-violence and peace. Thousands of enthusiastic citizens are anticipated to join in the run, symbolizing their commitment to fostering a culture of harmony and goodwill.

Participants will be rewarded with commemorative shirts and refreshing refreshments, underscoring the significance of their involvement in this impactful event.

Crucial figures spearheading the organization of the marathon include President Manish Oswal, Chief Secretary Yogesh Bafna, Jeeto Women Wing President Vaishali Bafna, Secretary Yogita Lunkad, Jeeto Youth President Saurabh Bedmutha, and Secretary Pranab Khabia.
