Pune’s Unsettling Day: Namdev Jadhav Targeted for Criticizing Sharad Pawar

In a shocking turn of events in Pune, renowned orator Namdev Jadhav found himself at the center of a disturbing incident as activists affiliated with the Sharad Pawar faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) blackened his face. The distressing episode unfolded while Jadhav addressed the media, with Pawar supporters taking abrupt and aggressive action. Swift police intervention rescued Jadhav from the situation, escorting him away from the scene.

Amidst fervent slogans in support of Sharad Pawar, his supporters executed the act of blackening Namdev Jadhav’s face. Notably, women activists from the Pawar group were reportedly involved in the incident.

The catalyst for this dramatic event was Jadhav’s publication of a purported fake caste certificate belonging to Sharad Pawar, accompanied by serious allegations against the political figure.

The controversy surrounding Namdev Jadhav’s statements had been intensifying, resulting in opposition from Pawar group activists at Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI), where Jadhav had a scheduled program. Anticipating potential untoward incidents, BORI opted to cancel Jadhav’s program.

However, in Navi Peth, NCP party workers carried out the drastic act of blackening Jadhav’s face.

Namdev Jadhav, in response, alleged that the Maratha community had been deprived of OBC reservation due to Sharad Pawar’s influence, despite Pawar himself contesting elections with an OBC certificate. This revelation ignited controversy, and as Jadhav stood firm in his stance, NCP workers organized a blackout in front of the Patrakar Bhavan in Navi Peth.

In the aftermath of these troubling events, Jadhav has called for strict action against the individuals responsible for the incident, highlighting the imperative need for accountability in the face of such confrontations.
