Crime No More: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Nabs Thieves Behind Stolen iPhones

In a commendable achievement, the Anti-Robbery Squad of the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Crime Branch has successfully apprehended two individuals involved in the theft of high-value mobile phones, including iPhones, from a local shop in Bhosari. The recovered stolen goods, amounting to a total value of Rs 11.68 lakh, highlight the effectiveness of the police operation.

The arrested individuals, identified as Kaleem Hussain Ansari (33) and Firoz Naeem Khan (33), were linked to the incident that transpired on September 29 at the Classic Communication mobile shop. The accused managed to gain access to the shop by cutting through the bar on the terrace, making away with 27 expensive mobile phones from renowned brands such as Apple and Samsung.

The stolen phones prompted the filing of a case under IPC sections 454, 457, 380, and 34 at the Bhosari police station. Police Constable Sumit Deokar played a pivotal role in the investigation, providing crucial information that led to the identification and subsequent arrest of the accused.

A detailed technical analysis and a two-day operation by the anti-robbery squad in the Kurla Mumbai area culminated in the successful detention of the suspects. During interrogation, Firoz Khan confessed to stealing the phones under the instructions of Kaleem Ansari. Khan further admitted to selling the stolen phones, eventually leading to the recovery of the pilfered goods.

The ongoing investigation, supervised by Sub-Inspector Bharat Gosavi, showcases the dedication and efficiency of the law enforcement team. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Swapna Gore, Assistant Commissioner of Police Balasaheb Kopnar, and Senior Police Inspector Santosh Patil provided leadership to the successful operation.

The triumphant police operation included the efforts of Assistant Police Inspector Ambarish Deshmukh, Police Sub-Inspector Bharat Gosavi, and a dedicated team of police personnel, whose diligence ensured the recovery of the stolen valuables and the apprehension of the culprits.
