KCR has lost confidence in people of Telangana: Congress

KCR Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS)

Mumbai, June 26 (UNI) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is visiting Maharashtra to expand his party as he has “lost confidence” in the people of his state and cannot “face them”, the Congress said on Monday.

All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge of Marathwada in Maharashtra S. A. Sampath Kumar alleged that Rao has “utterly failed” in his home state.

“KCR has lot faith in his people and cannot face them. When Mr. Rao has utterly failed in his home state, how can he do any good to Maharashtra?” asked Kumar, a former Telangana legislator.

“To think that activities in other states can cover up his downfall in his home state is sheer foolishness,” remarked Kumar.

He said while Rao is touring Maharashtra, a number of important BRS leaders are likely to join Congress in New Delhi on Monday in the presence of AICC President, Mallikarjun Kharge and party MP Rahul Gandhi.

“This indicates the utter failure of the BRS government in Telangana. The people have lost confidence in the BRS government, and the party will be defeated by the Congress in the coming Telangana Assembly polls,” said Kumar .
