Pune: Shrirang Barne of Mahayuti Files Nomination; Eknath Shinde’s Swift Exit Disappoints Party Workers

Shrirang Barne

Pune: Today, on April 22, Mahayuti’s Maval’s candidate, Shrirang Barne, filed nomination papers for his candidature. At that time, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also accompanied him. However, after filing the nomination papers, Eknath Shinde immediately left without addressing their party workers. This has disappointed their party workers.

Today, at the time of filing nomination papers, a huge rally was taken out by the Mahayuti alliance, from Akurdi to the Pune Metropolitan Area Development Authority (PMRDA) office. In this, a large number of party activists participated who were giving slogans for Shrirang Barne and for Mahayuti. The rally was stopped at around 12 in the afternoon.

Chief Minister Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, School Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar, BJP Legislative Council leader Praveen Darekar, MLAs Anna Bansode, Sunil Shelke, Ashwini Jagtap, Mahendra Thorve, Mahesh Baldi, and Uma Khapare are some of the dignitaries who were present at the time of filing nomination papers for Shrirang Barne.

Notably, at around 12.15, Eknath Shinde came out of the office along with Deputy CM Ajit Pawar and other party leaders. At that time, people had gathered in large numbers in front of the entrance gate to cheer Eknath Shinde and Mahayuti. Shinde lowered the window of his car, and he accepted the worker’s greetings. However, he immediately left without addressing the media or party workers.

This dismayed the office-bearers of Shivsena, who were hoping for some guidance from Eknath Shinde.
