Central Railway Announces 156 Ganpati Special Trains from Mumbai and Pune for September 2023 Festival

Mumbai, June 24th, 2023: Central Railway has unveiled its plans to introduce 156 special trains in preparation for the upcoming Ganpati Festival scheduled for September 2023. These special trains aim to cater to the increased passenger demand during the festive season, connecting major cities and towns in Maharashtra. The detailed schedule and information regarding these special trains are as follows:

  1. Mumbai-Sawantwadi Road Daily Special (40 services):
    • Train number 01171 will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 00:20 hrs daily from September 13th, 2023, to October 2nd, 2023 (20 trips). It will arrive at Sawantwadi Road at 14:20 hrs on the same day.
    • Train number 01172 will depart from Sawantwadi Road at 15:10 hrs daily from September 13th, 2023, to October 2nd, 2023 (20 trips). It will reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 04:35 hrs the next day.
    • The train will halt at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, and Kudal.
    • The composition of the train includes 18 Sleeper Class coaches, one Guard’s brake van, and one Generator car.
  2. LTT-KUDAL-LTT Special (24 services):
    • Train number 01167 will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) at 22:15 hrs on September 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, and on October 1st and 2nd, 2023 (12 trips). It will arrive at Kudal at 09:30 hrs the next day.
    • Train number 01168 will depart from Kudal at 10:30 hrs on September 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, and on October 2nd and 3rd, 2023 (12 trips). It will reach LTT at 21:55 hrs on the same day.
    • The train will halt at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, and Sindhudurg.
    • The composition of the train includes one AC-2 Tier coach, two AC-3 Tier coaches, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, and 7 General Second Class coaches, including 2 Guard’s brake vans.
  3. Pune-Karmali/Kudal-Pune Special (6 services):
    • Train number 01169 will depart from Pune at 18:45 hrs on September 15th, 22nd, and 29th, 2023. It will arrive at Kudal at 10:00 hrs the next day.
    • Train number 01170 will depart from Kudal at 16:05 hrs on September 17th, 24th, and October 1st, 2023. It will reach Pune at 05:50 hrs the next day.
    • The train will halt at Lonavala, Panvel, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, and Sindhudurg.
    • The composition of the train includes one AC 2 Tier coach, 4 AC 3 Tier coaches, 11 Sleeper Class coaches, and 6 General Second Class coaches, including 2 Guard’s brake vans.
  4. Karmali-Panvel-Kudal Special (Weekly) – 6 Services:
    • Train number 01187 Special will depart from Karmali at 14:50 hrs on September 16th, 23rd, and 30th, 2023 (3 trips). It will arrive at Panvel at 02:45 hrs the next day.
    • Train number 01188 Special will depart from Panvel at 05:00 hrs on September 17th, 24th, and October 1st, 2023 (3 trips). It will reach Kudal at 14:00 hrs on the same day.
    • The train will halt at Thivim, Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Sindhudurg, Kakavli, Nandgaon Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Rajapur Road, Vilavade, Adavali, Ratnagiri, Sangmeshwar Road, Savarda, Chiplun, Khed, Roha, and Mangaon.
    • The composition of the train includes 1 AC-2 Tier coach, 4 AC-3 Tier coaches, 11 Sleeper Class coaches, 6 General Second Class coaches, including 2 Guard’s brake vans.
  5. Diva-Ratnagiri MEMU Specials (Daily) – 40 Services:
    • Train number 01153 Special will depart from Diva at 07:10 hrs from September 13th, 2023, to October 2nd, 2023 (20 trips). It will arrive at Ratnagiri at 14:55 hrs on the same day.
    • Train number 01154 Special will depart from Ratnagiri at 15:40 hrs from September 13th, 2023, to October 2nd, 2023 (20 trips). It will arrive at Diva at 22:40 hrs on the same day.
    • The train will halt at Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road, and Sangameshwar Road.
    • The composition of the train includes 12 Car MEMU Rakes.
  6. Mumbai-Madgaon Special (Daily) – 40 Services:
    • Train number 01151 Special will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 11:50 hrs daily from September 13th, 2023, to October 2nd, 2023 (20 trips). It will arrive at Madgaon at 02:10 hrs the next day.
    • Train number 01152 Special will depart from Madgaon at 03:15 hrs daily from September 13th, 2023, to October 2nd, 2023 (20 trips). It will reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 17:05 hrs on the same day.
    • The train will halt at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adavali, Vilavade, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, and Karmali.
    • The composition of the train includes 18 Sleeper Class coaches, one Guard’s brake van, and one Generator car.
