Pune Director’s Film ‘Aarya-Daughter of Bharat’ Selected for ‘Bollywood Festival-Norway’

Pune-based director Nitin Bhaskar’s Marathi film, ‘Aarya-Daughter of Bharat,’ is set to be screened at the prestigious ‘Bollywood Festival-Norway.’ The festival is scheduled to take place from September 8th, 2023, to September 14th, 2023, and ‘Aarya-Daughter of Bharat’ is the only Marathi film chosen for screening at this esteemed event.

The film, ‘Aarya-Daughter of Bharat,’ explores the dichotomy between modern urban India and traditional rural Bharat, which are two distinct facets of the country. The story revolves around a girl caught between these two worlds due to her parents’ diverse backgrounds. The film artfully addresses the differences in culture, technology, and thought processes, piquing the audience’s curiosity about whether and how ‘Aarya’ breaks free from these boundaries to chart her path in life.

Director Nitin Bhaskar expressed his delight at the film’s selection, emphasizing his belief in the coexistence of two countries within India, one representing modernity and the other the traditional rural way of life.
