Pune’s ‘AARYA-Daughter of BHARAT’ Wins Acclaim at ‘World Film Carnival Singapore’

Pune, 19th October 2023: The Marathi film ‘AARYA-Daughter of BHARAT,’ directed by Pune’s very own Nitin Bhaskar and produced by Sharad Patil of SS Film Production, has garnered an esteemed Certificate of Achievement at the World Film Carnival Singapore. It proudly stands as the sole Marathi film to receive this distinguished honor. Earlier this year, ‘AARYA-Daughter of BHARAT’ was also the singular Marathi film selected for screening at the ‘Bollywood Festival-Norway.’

‘AARYA-Daughter of BHARAT’ weaves a narrative around the two distinct facets of India, the modern urban ‘India,’ and the traditional rural ‘BHARAT,’ as depicted in the film. The story revolves around a girl who finds herself caught between India and BHARAT due to her parents’ diverse backgrounds. The film artfully navigates the contrasts in culture, technology, and thought processes, intriguing the audience with the question of whether and how ‘AARYA’ liberates herself from these boundaries to embark on life on her own terms.

Recently, we were also the sole Marathi Film chosen for screening at The ‘Bollywood Festival-Norway.’ We are representing the Marathi Film Industry on the global stage, and such consecutive accolades further fuel our enthusiasm to produce more artistic films in the future.”
