Pune Police Swiftly Apprehend Burglary Suspect, Recover Stolen Company Data

n a rapid and effective response, the Kondhwa Police in Pune have successfully apprehended a suspect involved in a burglary case at a software company located at Khadi Machine Chowk. The accused, identified as Roshan Shankar Sanas, 23 years old, hailing from Veruli, Wai taluka, Satara district, was arrested after stolen items, including two laptops, a Samsung mobile phone, and two computer hard disks containing vital company data, were recovered from his residence.

The investigation was initiated following a complaint filed on 23/2/2024 by a person from Om Metalab Service Pvt Ltd, reporting the theft of 2 laptops and important data. The case was registered under IPC Sections 454, 457, and 380. Under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Santosh Sonawane and Police Inspector Mansingh Patil, the Kondhwa Police, led by Assistant Police Inspector Dinesh Kumar Patil and the investigation team, quickly delved into the matter.

Technical analysis pointed towards the involvement of someone familiar with the company, leading to the detention of Roshan Shankar Sanas. During the subsequent investigation, Sanas confessed to committing the crime. The recovered stolen goods, valued at Rs 87,000, were crucial evidence in building a strong case against the accused.

The swift and successful resolution of this case was made possible under the leadership and guidance of key officials, including Amitesh Kumar (Commissioner of Police, Pune), Pravin Pawar (Joint Commissioner of Police), Manoj Patil (Additional Commissioner of Police, Eastern Regional Division), R Raja (Deputy Commissioner of Police, Circle 5), Ganesh Ingle (Sixth Commissioner of Police, Wanowrie Division), Santosh Sonwane (Senior Police Inspector, Kondhwa Police Station), and Maan Singh Patil (Police Inspector, Crime).

The dedicated efforts of the Kondhwa Police Station’s team, comprising Assistant Police Inspector Dinesh Kumar Patil, Assistant Police Inspector Lekhaji Shinde, Police Sub-Inspector Vaibhav Sonwane, and several police constables, resulted in a swift resolution of the case, ensuring justice for the victimized software company.
