Pune Police Constable Booked for Submitting False Earthquake Victims’ Certificates

Pune, August 12, 2023: A shocking case has surfaced involving a police constable from the Pune police force who is alleged to have obtained employment through deceit by submitting forged documents related to earthquake victims.

The accused individual has been identified as Police Constable Govind Madhukar Ingle, currently stationed at the police headquarters in Shivajinagar.

Assistant Police Inspector Praveen Sampatrao Abdagire has filed an official complaint at the Shivajinagar Police Station, prompting legal action against Ingle. The constable had successfully participated in the recruitment process for the Pune Police Force in October 2021, utilizing a reserved quota meant for earthquake victims. During the application process, he submitted documents claiming to be a victim of a past earthquake.

However, upon careful examination and verification of the submitted documents, it was discovered that they were falsified. As a result, a formal case has been registered against Ingle on charges of deceiving the government and providing fraudulent information.

The investigation into this matter is presently being conducted under the supervision of Assistant Police Inspector Naik. This incident highlights the importance of stringent verification processes to ensure the integrity of public service recruitment and to prevent individuals from obtaining positions through fraudulent means.
