Pune, August 12, 2023: Raksha Rajya Mantri Ajay Bhatt paid a visit to the Pune Unit of the prestigious Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) today, where he was given an exclusive firsthand demonstration of the unit’s expertise in cutting-edge defence technologies. The visit offered a unique opportunity for Raksha Rajya Mantri to witness BEL’s capabilities in areas such as Laser Systems, Electronic Fuzes & Ammunition, Energy Storage Products, and Combat Systems.
During his visit, the distinguished guest was treated to an extensive presentation that highlighted BEL’s impressive range of products and its capabilities in both defence and non-defence sectors. The presentation aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the company’s contributions to the advancement of defence technology.
Furthermore, the Raksha Rajya Mantri was taken on a guided tour of the factory premises, where he had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the advanced facilities dedicated to the production of various products. The tour included insights into the manufacturing of Electronic Fuzes for Artillery Guns, cutting-edge Laser Products (including Directed Energy Weapon Systems, Laser Target Designators, and Range Finders), Fiber Optic Gyro Based Sensors, and Energy Storage Systems utilizing Li-Ion Cell technology. Additionally, the visit showcased the company’s capabilities in developing Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Systems, both tracked and wheeled.
