Molestation Case

Pune: In recent days, there has been an alarming surge in crimes against women, with daily complaints flooding police stations across the city. In one such incident, a woman from Loni Kalbhor was disgracefully molested by two accused by snatching her dupatta from her neck. Fortunately, police, acting swiftly on the complaint, immediately arrested two convicts in this case and put them behind bars.

A 30-year-old woman, a resident of Uruli Devachi, was walking on the road from the Uruli Devachi bus stop along with her husband and a minor son. At that time, two accused, identified as Suraj Mohan Kamble (23) and Swayambhu Shankar Patole (24), drove the vehicle on a minor son by riding the motor vehicle in an abrupt and dangerous manner. This incident took place on the public road at Uruli Devachi Bus Stop on Thursday, November 23, around 6:00 p.m.

Concerned for her son’s safety, when the woman confronted the accused for accountability, Suraj Kamble, seated on the back of the bike, got angry at it and grabbed the plaintiff’s hand tightly. Moreover, he proceeded to molest the woman, grabbing her dupatta during the altercation. However, when people started gathering at the scene, the accused subsequently fled the scene, fearing potential repercussions.

Following the incident, the woman immediately went on to file a formal complaint at the Loni Kalbhor Police Station without wasting any further time. Accordingly, police have arrested the duo and charged them under IPC 354, 354A, 323, and Section 184 of the Motor Vehicle Act. The police are conducting further investigation into it.
