Pune Residents Fume as PMC Neglects Urgent Water Pipeline Leak Repairs Near Mitra Mandal Chowk

Mitra Mandal Chowk

Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is facing mounting criticism from residents over its sluggish response in addressing a persistent water pipeline leak near Mitra Mandal Chowk. Despite multiple complaints, the delay in taking corrective measures has left locals exasperated.

The issue came to light a few days ago during a brief respite from the monsoon rains. However, the situation worsened after the recent rainfall ceased, making the leakage more noticeable. Alarmed by the wastage of precious drinking water, residents raised their concerns with the authorities.

The PMC was promptly informed about the problem, leading to two site inspections in the past three days. However, to the frustration of residents, no concrete steps have been taken to rectify the situation. The lack of action from the civic body has left the affected community feeling neglected and exasperated.

As the residents continue to demand immediate action, they hope that their collective voice will compel the PMC to take swift measures to repair the water pipeline leak.
