Indian Bank launches special initiative to reach out to customers

PUNE: Indian Bank, which is one of the leading banks in the country, has launched a special initiative for customers who have not carried out any transactions in their saving accounts or fixed deposits for 10 years and above. Those customers who have not carried out any transactions in their saving accounts or fixed deposits for 10 years and above should redo the KYC and get their accounts activated.

Indian Bank has launched a special initiative to ensure that unclaimed money is returned to their owners and get their accounts activated. The initiative started from June 1, 2023 and will end on September 8, 2023. Indian Bank has appealed to customers who have not operated their accounts for 10 years or more, to submit their passbooks, receipts and KYC documents to the branch as early as possible.

What is an unclaimed amount?

If there has been no activity in an account for 10 years or more, it is termed as an unclaimed amount.
