Pune: Chatuhshungi police raid factory manufacturing adulterated ghee; 650 kg adulterated ghee seized

PUNE: The Chatuhshrungi police have exposed a racket of manufacturing and supplying adulterated ghee during festivals and seized 650 kg of adulterated ghee from Bhagwati Nagar in Pashan village. They have also seized the raw material used in preparing ghee.

The police got information that a factory was being operated in a tin shed which manufactured adulterated ghee at Bhagwati Nagar at Pashan village in Pune city. Accordingly, the police raided the factory under the guidance of Senior PI of Chatuhshrungi police station Balaji Pandhre. At that time, Sangramsingh Tejsingh Rajput (38), a resident of Budhwar Peth, was found preparing adulterated ghee.

The accused was arrested red handed as he was preparing adulterated ghee by using edible soyaben oil and Dalda mix. The police seized 650 kg adulterated ghee, 135 kg oil, 105 kg Dalda, 54 empty tin boxes, machine used for packing the tin and box lids totally worth ₹3.5 lakh. The police said they have informed the FDA in writing about this incident.
