In a momentous achievement for the medical community in Pune, renowned Gynecologist Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar has created history by being elected as the President of the Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI).
FOGSI, an organization comprising 266 member societies and boasting over 40,000 gynaecologist members across India, has never before had a female representative from Pune in its highest office. Dr. Tandulwadkar’s election to this prestigious position marks a significant milestone in her illustrious career.
With a career that speaks volumes about her dedication and expertise, Dr. Tandulwadkar now joins an exclusive group of five luminaries in India who have achieved the remarkable distinction of presiding over esteemed medical organizations. She served as the President of the Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists (IAGE) from 2019 to 2020, holds the position of President at the Institute of Science & Advanced Research (ISAR) until 2026, and now takes the reins as FOGSI President from 2023 to 2025.
This trifecta of leadership roles solidifies her legacy in the annals of Indian medicine.
