Pune: On Sunday morning of November 19, the Narhe police were alerted to the discovery of a suspicious dead body at the foot of a mountain in the Narhe area. Upon close examination, it was revealed that the victim had been brutally murdered after repeatedly striking with a hard object on his head. In this case, one accused was successfully apprehended by the police.
The deceased person is identified as Saurabh Rupesh Shinde (age 23), and he was residing near Ram Mandir, Ambegaon Plateau, Katraj. According to the police, Saurabh was missing on Saturday, November 18, and has not been contacted since. In this regard, Saurabh’s father, Rupesh Namdev Shinde, filed a missing complaint with the Sinhagad Road Police.
Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, some local residents in Narhe informed the police about the lifeless body lying near the Swami Narayan temple in Narhe. Acting on it, senior police officers of Sinhagad Road Police Station rushed to the spot, only to find that the youth had been brutally murdered.
Details unfolded when the police dug further into the case. Surprisingly, they found that Saurabh was murdered by his friend, Aniket Mukund Pardeshi (age 28), residing at Abhinav College Road, Nandanvan City, Narhe, Pune. According to the information, Saurabh and Aniket were friends with each other. On Saturday, Saurabh was having lunch at Aniket’s house, during which he made a slanderous comment on Aniket’s wife.
Angered by this, Aniket took Saurabh to the foothills behind the Swami Narayan temple and killed him by hitting his head with a hard object.
Acting swiftly, the police registered a formal complaint against Aniket under IPC 302 and the Maharashtra Police Act, and detained him successfully. Further investigation is being conducted by Assistant Police Inspector Rahul Yadav.
