Grand Bike Rally Organized by Pune Postal Department under Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan

Pune, August 14, 2023: Embracing the spirit of patriotism and national pride, the Pune City East Postal Department orchestrated a grand bike rally on August 11th as part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga 2.0” campaign. This initiative, aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to hoist the tricolor on homes across the country from August 13th to 15th as a tribute to the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, aims to foster a sense of unity and devotion to the nation.

The significance of this campaign lies in its intention to inspire citizens to actively participate in the ongoing celebration of India’s freedom. To facilitate this endeavor, the Indian Postal Department has undertaken the responsibility of distributing the national flag to households across the nation.

The bike rally commenced with great enthusiasm from Mahatma Gandhi Road in Pune Camp, with the participants paying their respects to the statue of Babasaheb Ambedkar. The rally, organized under the guidance of Dr. Abhijit Ichke, Senior Superintendent of the Pune City East Postal Department, witnessed a remarkable turnout of both postal department employees and citizens.

The rally’s culminating point was the Pune Head Post Office (Pune GPO), where the participants gathered to celebrate the unity and pride that the tricolor symbolizes. Dr. Bharat Ratna, Senior Superintendent of the Pune City East Postal Department, expressed his gratitude to the participants for their spontaneous involvement and dedication to the cause.

Addressing the gathering during the closing ceremony, Dr. Abhijit Ichke urged every citizen to actively embrace the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence by hoisting the national flag at their homes. This act serves as a tangible symbol of unity, patriotism, and reverence for the nation’s freedom struggle and accomplishments.

As the bike rally concluded on a high note, it echoed the sentiments of solidarity and pride that resonate with the “Har Ghar Tiranga 2.0” campaign. The Pune Postal Department’s remarkable initiative underscores the collective commitment to celebrating India’s freedom and fostering a sense of national belonging among citizens.
