Effective from today, oil marketing companies have taken a notable step by reducing the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 99.75. However, it’s important to note that the prices of domestic cooking gas cylinders have remained unchanged, according to reliable sources.
This decision comes as a significant relief for commercial users who rely on LPG cylinders for their business operations. After the price reduction, a commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 1,680 in Delhi. The previous revision in prices for a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder was carried out last month.
It’s worth mentioning that LPG cylinder prices vary across states due to different tax slabs implemented by respective state governments. These state-wise variations can lead to price differences in different regions.
The prices of LPG cylinders in the domestic market are influenced by international crude oil prices. Fluctuations in crude oil prices on the global stage can directly impact the cost of LPG cylinders used for domestic cooking.
On the other hand, the prices of 14.2 kg LPG domestic cooking gas cylinders have not witnessed any changes since March 1. As of now, there is no information about any immediate plans to revise the prices for domestic cylinders.
