Pune’s Road Development: Land Acquisition Camp Empowers Chikhali and Talawade

Land acquisition for road development is an essential aspect of urban growth and infrastructure enhancement. In Pune, Bhosari Constituency MLA Mahesh Landge has been actively advocating for the acquisition of land concerning seven roads in the Chikhali and Talawade areas. These efforts have culminated in a significant development—a land acquisition camp organized by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).

Facilitating Road Development:

The camp is scheduled to take place at Chikhali Gaothan in municipal schools on the 26th and 27th of October 2023, running from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This event marks a crucial step in the ongoing process of land acquisition for seven roads, aligned with the approved development plan in Mauje Chikhli and Talawade. These roads are pivotal for enhancing connectivity and transportation infrastructure in the region.

Roads Under Acquisition:

The following roads are currently in the process of land acquisition:

  1. A 12m/18m wide DP road, measuring 1370 meters in length, extending from Indraprastha Mangal’s office at Chikhali to Santpeeth.
  2. Roads with varying widths of 12m, 24m, and 30m, measuring 2030 meters in length, extending from Sane Chowk in Chikhali to Chikhali village.
  3. A 30m wide DP road, measuring 2250 meters in length, extending from Dehu Alandi to Sonavane Vasti in Chikhali.
  4. A 24m wide road, measuring 2000 meters in length, extending from Chikhali Chowk in Chikhali to Sonawane Wasti.
  5. The remaining 24m wide road, measuring 400 meters in length, extends from Triveninagar Chowk to Talawade Chowk at Talawade.
  6. An 18m DP road, measuring 1950 meters in length, connecting Talawade Canbay Chowk to Nigdi Spine Road at Talawade.
  7. A 12.00m riverside road at Talawade and a 24.00m road on Chikhali Talawade Shive, measuring 2100 meters in length.

Impact on Landowners and Developers:

It’s crucial to note that landowners and developers will no longer have the option of Transferable Development Rights (TDR) or Floor Space Index (FSI) following the announcement of the award under the Land Acquisition Act. This makes the camp a critical juncture for landowners, as they will have the opportunity to view site maps and take advance possession of road-affected areas through Form ‘A’ and ‘B’ on the spot. Subsequently, TDR/FSI for the affected areas will be issued following the submission of proposals and requisite documents.

Participation Guidelines:

On the day of the camp, landowners are requested to bring their 7/12 extracts and any supporting ownership documentation. Forms ‘A’ and ‘B’ will be provided on the spot, and the Municipal Corporation appeals  to landowners to cooperate by submitting the necessary documents and taking possession of the designated areas in advance.
