PCMC’s Grand 41st Anniversary Bash: A Day of Celebration and Appreciation

The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is gearing up for an extravagant celebration of its 41st anniversary on October 11, promising a day filled with festivities, gratitude, and meaningful events. A carefully curated lineup of programs and activities has been planned to mark this significant milestone in the municipality’s history.

Honoring Annasaheb Magar: A Tribute to the Visionary

The anniversary celebrations will commence at 10 a.m. with a heartfelt tribute to the late Annasaheb Magar. Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh will lead this solemn moment by laying wreaths at Annasaheb Magar’s statue, located in the main administrative building of the Municipal Corporation in Pimpri. This act of remembrance pays homage to the visionary who played a pivotal role in shaping the municipality.

Saving Lives through Blood Donation

Following the wreath-laying ceremony, the Municipal Corporation will host a noble blood donation camp at the same location, beginning at 10:00 a.m. This initiative aims to encourage civic participation and underscores the municipality’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens. Employee Engagement: Fostering Team Spirit

In a bid to foster team spirit and camaraderie among its dedicated employees, the Corporation has organized various competitions. Honoring Women’s Contribution: “New Home Minister” Event

At 11 a.m., a special event titled “New Home Minister” will be held exclusively for female employees. The highlight of this event is the paithani saree prize, a gesture aimed at recognizing and honoring the invaluable contributions of women in the Municipal Corporation. It is a heartfelt tribute to their dedication and hard work.

Creative and Entertaining Activities

Throughout the day, municipal employees will have the opportunity to participate in creative and entertaining activities. Rangoli competitions, sweet and spicy food cooking contests, and a fancy dress competition, all centered around themes like ‘Majhi Mati Maja Desh,’ ‘Mera Bharat Mahan,’ and ‘Dot Rangoli,’ will add a colorful and joyous touch to the celebrations.

Felicitation and Appreciation

To conclude the day on a high note, Commissioner Shekhar Singh will preside over a felicitation ceremony at 3 p.m. This ceremony will recognize and honor the dedication and outstanding contributions of officers, employees, and winners of the Rangoli, cooking, and costume competitions for the year 2022-23. The prestigious Ramkrishna More Auditorium in Chinchwad will be the venue for this momentous occasion.
