Housing Society Federation Opposes Leasing Playground for Horse Riding in Chikhali

The Chikhli-Moshi-Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Society Federation has voiced strong opposition to the decision to lease the designated playground at River Residency Chowk in Chikhli for horse riding, stirring controversy and discord among residents. Despite facing criticism and attempts to cast doubt on the federation’s stance, the president, Sanjivan Sangale, asserts the organization’s commitment to protecting the reserved sports ground.

President Sangale emphasized that the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) consistently disapproved of leasing the sports ground to a private organization for horse riding. The federation, being apolitical, has maintained its stance, neither endorsing nor opposing any political party. However, recent attempts by certain political parties to sow discord and spread misinformation among society members have prompted the federation to reaffirm its resolute position.

In response to the controversy, the federation plans to bring the matter to the attention of MLA Mahesh Landge and Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh, seeking their intervention to overturn the decision made by the PCMC commissioner and administrator. The federation has a track record of standing up for the interests of society owners and justice.

Despite attempts to create confusion and misinformation, the federation remains committed to its position against leasing the reserved ground for horse riding. It will take democratic measures to address the issue and uphold the rights and interests of the society owners.
