Commuters traveling on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway will have to shell out more from their pockets starting midnight on June 2, as toll rates are set to increase. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the toll company have jointly announced the revised toll rates, affecting various categories of vehicles.
Revised Toll Rates
The toll rates for different categories of vehicles traveling from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut have been adjusted as follows:
- Cars, Jeeps (LMV): Rs 165-250
- Mini Buses, Small Goods Vehicles: Rs 265-400
- Buses, Trucks (2-Axle): Rs 410-620
- 3-Axle Vehicles: Rs 595-890
- 4-6 Axle Vehicles: Rs 720-1085
- Extremely Heavy Vehicles: Rs 25-40
Specific Toll Changes
- Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut: Toll for cars has been increased from Rs 160 to Rs 165.
- Delhi to Meerut (via Bhojpur): Toll is now set at Rs 140.
- Delhi to Meerut (via Rasulpur Sikrod): Toll increased to Rs 110.
- Monthly Pass at Chhijarsi Toll Plaza: Increased from Rs 330 to Rs 340.
- NH 9 to Hapur (via Chhijarsi Toll): Toll raised from Rs 165 to Rs 170.
Across Other Toll Plazas
Apart from the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, a 5% increase in toll charges will also be implemented at other toll plazas, including those on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. This hike aims to adjust the toll rates in line with operational costs and maintenance requirements.
