New Delhi, 24th February 2024: In a noteworthy development, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a significant alteration in the color code of the Tughlakabad to Delhi Aerocity corridor, a crucial section of the ongoing Metro Phase-4 project. Formerly designated as the Silver Line, this corridor will now be officially recognized as the Golden Line.
Color Code Transition: From Silver to Golden
The decision to transition from the Silver Line to the Golden Line stems from practical visibility concerns. Metro coaches, adorned with a silver hue, faced challenges in distinctly representing the silver color. To rectify this, the DMRC opted for the more visible and distinctive golden color, enhancing clarity for commuters.
Length and Stations: A 24 KM Long Route with 15 Stations
The Golden Line corridor spans an extensive 23.62 kilometers, featuring a total of 15 stations strategically positioned to optimize connectivity across the region. Completion Timeline: Anticipated 2025

Other Corridors in Phase-4
Apart from the Golden Line, Phase-4 of the Delhi Metro project introduces two additional corridors.
