Delhi Metro Extends Helping Hand: Announces Two-Month Free Shuttle Service to Amrit Udyan

In a move geared towards enhancing passenger convenience, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced a free shuttle service from Central Secretariat and Shivaji Stadium Metro stations to Amrit Udyan, located within the President’s Estate. This initiative aligns with the public opening of Amrit Udyan, previously known as the Mughal Garden, from February 2 to March 31, 2024.

Free Shuttle Service: DMRC’s free shuttle service aims to eliminate transportation hurdles for visitors, providing easy and direct access to the historical and picturesque Amrit Udyan.

Amrit Udyan’s Opening: With this year’s theme centered around a tulip-adorned garden, Amrit Udyan opens its gates to the public, offering a visual treat of thematic beauty and floral diversity.

Presidential Inauguration: President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the “Udyan Utsav 2024,” ushering in the public viewing season of Amrit Udyan. The themed openings contribute to the garden’s allure, attracting visitors to explore its signature gardens.

A Historical Marvel: Situated within the President’s Estate and often referred to as the soul of the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Amrit Udyan holds historical significance. The 225-year-old Sheesham tree and its evolution from the Mughal Garden to Amrit Udyan add layers to its rich history.

Floral Attractions: From the Long Garden to the Circular Garden, where tulips take center stage, Amrit Udyan captivates visitors with its vibrant roses in various hues. The garden’s stunning floral displays have become a yearly attraction for nature enthusiasts.
