DDA Initiates E-Auction of 257 Luxury Apartments in Delhi’s Dwarka

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has commenced the e-auction of 257 apartments, including two penthouses and 123 luxury flats, in Dwarka, New Delhi. The auction, part of the Festival Special Housing Scheme 2023, features a range of high-income group (HIG) and mid-segment (MIG) residences, with bids opening on March 5.

The e-auction, set to start at 11 am, includes 132 MIG apartments in Dwarka’s Sector 14, along with HIG apartments and penthouses located in Sector 19B. While the auctioning of duplex penthouses and MIG flats will be exclusive to March 5, the bidding for HIG apartments will extend until March 7. Notably, only two out of 14 penthouses built by the DDA are still available.

The reserve price for a penthouse is Rs 5 crore, while the 3BHK HIG apartments are priced at Rs 2.05 crore. MIG 2BHK units come with a reserved price of Rs 1.2 crore.

The duplex penthouses and HIG apartments are situated in a high-end housing complex in Dwarka’s Sector 19B, offering a view of an upcoming 18-hole golf course in Sector 24. The complex, valued at Rs 700 crore, comprises 11 towers, with penthouses featuring terrace gardens and the entire housing complex emphasizing larger-than-usual green spaces.

This marks the third phase of the DDA’s e-auction, following the booking of 274 out of 296 apartments in the first round on January 5 and the availability of 707 apartments in the second round on February 5. The flats being offered are part of DDA’s Festival Special Housing Scheme 2023, encompassing various categories such as penthouses, Super HIG, HIG, MIG, LIG (lower income group), and EWS (economically weaker section).

Penthouses, super HIG flats, and HIG flats, along with MIG apartments, are being presented through e-auctions in different phases, while LIG and EWS flats are allocated on a “first come first serve” basis, according to officials.
